Hans Wegner ch07 Shell chair with Spinnybeck Leather by Carl Hansen & Son
The Hans Wegner three-legged shell chair was originally introduced in 1963. A few limited series were produced, but the project soon came to a stand still. The chair was relaunched in 1997 and after 34 years of oblivion the chair finally got its breakthrough.
Seat and back are made of formpressed plywood shells. The 3 legs consist of a laminated construction, the 2 front legs are made of one continuous piece and the hind leg is a separate element. To enhance the comfort, Wegner has added 2 upholstered cushions which are fastened to the shell with screws from the back.
Newly reupholstered in Spinnybeck Vicenza premium Italian leather. Leather in pristine condition. Shell in good condition.
Leather info: Inspired by its namesake city in northeastern Italy, Vicenza is a corrected grain, aniline leather. The hides required to produce Vicenza originate from northern Italy, southern Germany, and Switzerland. It receives a special retannage which enriches the leather, tightens the grain, and provides a superior hand. The correction process refines the surface of the leather, preparing the material for the reception of grain enhancement prior to finishing. Vicenza features our breathable protective finish that is impregnated into the leather, becoming an integral part of the material.
Local Delivery:
Most local deliveries within the East Bay and San Francisco can be arranged for $79–$100 and are typically completed within a few days. This rate doesn’t apply to all items and does not cover areas like San Jose, Santa Rosa, Napa Area, or Sacramento, which may incur higher fees. If you're unsure, please reach out before purchasing.

If shipping isn’t charged at checkout, your order won’t ship until it’s paid. We’ll send a custom quote. Shipping is handled by FedEx, UPS, or white glove carriers. Rates are set by the carriers and out of our control.
International buyers: email us at enlivenmart@gmail.com to place an order. All items are insured, but shipping is at your own risk. If a package is lost or damaged, the buyer must file the claim. No refunds for lost/damaged international shipments.

Pick-Up:

For pickups, bring a blanket or padding—especially for large or fragile items. We’ll help you wrap and load, but we’re not responsible for any damage to your item or vehicle during loading.
Items left over 30 days will be considered abandoned and may be donated or placed in storage with monthly fees.
