Created by design visionary Alvar Aalto in 1939, this armchair is affectionately referred to as the Pension Chair because it allows the user to be in a state of retirement". The cantilevered birch frame, solid birch cross rails and linen webbed seat create a chair made for total comfort and relaxation. Lightweight but constructed with durability in mind, Armchair 400 is a timeless design that is well-suited in any space.

Most local deliveries within the East Bay and San Francisco can be arranged for $79–$100 and are typically completed within a few days. For pickups, bring a blanket or padding—especially for large or fragile items. We’ll help you wrap and load, but we’re not responsible for any damage to your item or vehicle during loading.
Items left over 30 days will be considered abandoned and may be donated or placed in storage with monthly fees.
